1. The details of the installation of auxiliary units and the drive belt routing diagram are shown in the illustration.

1 - Drive belt;
2 - Bolt, to be replaced, 20 Nm, then tighten to an angle of 90°;
3 - Washer, must be replaced; must always be installed, even if it was not installed at the factory;
4 - Roller plug 13;
5 - Generator;
6 - Generator mounting bolt;
7 - Pulley plug 9;
8, 12, 15, 16, 21, 23, 33 - Bolt, 23 Nm;
9 - Intermediate pulley;
10 - Bracket bolt 11, 40 Nm;
11 - Generator and roller bracket 9;
13 - Intermediate roller;
14 - Roller plug 20;
17 - Coolant pump pulley, the "Vorne" mark should be at the front;
18 - Bolt. 9 Nm;
19 - Coolant pump;
20 - Intermediate roller, only on new models;
22 - Roller bracket 20;
24 - Power steering pump;
25 - Power steering pump pulley, the "Vorne" mark should be at the front;
26 - Pulley bolt 25;
27 - Gasket, subject to replacement;
28 - Auxiliary unit bracket;
29 - Bolt, 40 Nm;
30 - Compressor bolt 31;
31 - Air conditioning compressor;
32 - Centering bushings, 2 pcs.;
34 - Belt tensioner 1;
35 - Bolt, subject to replacement, there are different options: M10 (50 Nm, then tighten to an angle of 90°) or M11 (60 Nm, then tighten to an angle of 90°);
36 - Crankshaft pulley.




If the belt being removed is to be reinstalled, mark the direction of its movement first so that it can be reinstalled in the same manner.

2. To remove the drive belt, remove the top engine cover (see Section 19 of Chapter 1) and loosen the belt tension by turning the tensioner in the direction of the arrow (see illustration 4.68) with a T60 Torx head. Remove the belt and release the tensioner. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Make sure the belt is positioned correctly in the grooves. If using a used belt, install it with the same side up (according to the marks made during removal).

3. To remove the drive belt tensioner, remove the belt from the tension roller (see paragraph 2) and unscrew the bolts (see illustration).

Installation is carried out in reverse order.

4. To remove the drive belt idler roller, remove the belt from the tension roller (see paragraph 2) and unscrew the bolts (see illustration).

Installation is carried out in reverse order.

5. To remove the crankshaft pulley, remove the drive belt (see paragraph 2), mark the position of the pulley and remove the 8 bolts (1 in the illustration).

Installation is carried out in reverse order. Use new bolts (2 in illustration 6.1) and a new washer (3).

6. Bolts (10 in illustration 6.1) tighten the fastenings of the generator bracket (11) and the intermediate pulley in the sequence shown in the illustration.

7. When loosening/tightening the bolts securing the coolant pump pulley or power steering pump, hold the pulley from turning using tool No. 3212 (see illustration).
