1. The installation details of the gear transmission and the accessory drive chain are shown in the illustrations.
41.1a. Accessory Drive Chain Installation Details:
1 - Bolt, to be replaced, 5 Nm, then tighten to an angle of 90°;
2 - Chain tensioner with guide bar;
3 - Gasket, subject to replacement;
4 - Bolt, to be replaced, 20 Nm, then tighten to an angle of 90°;
5 - Sprocket bearing support 6;
6 - Intermediate sprocket, wider neck facing rear;
7 - Thrust washer;
8 - Auxiliary drive chain;
9 - Crankshaft;
10 - Auxiliary drive sprocket;
11 - Bolt, 62 Nm.
41.1b. Accessory Drive Chain Installation Details:
1 - Bolt, 62 Nm;
2 - Spring;
3 - Bolt, to be replaced, 5 Nm, then tighten to an angle of 90°;
4 - Gear mechanism;
5 - Power steering pump drive seal;
6, 8 - Sealing ring, subject to replacement;
7 - Oil pipe;
9 - O-ring, subject to replacement, inserted into the upper section of the oil pan;
10 - Power steering pump drive shaft, with two rubber buffers;
11 - Sealing ring with flat part;
12 - Bolt;
13 - Power steering pump;
14 - Oil pump drive shaft;
15 - Retaining ring;
16 - Thrust washer;
17 - Pinion shaft 18;
18 - Drive pinion of auxiliary units;
19 - Auxiliary drive sprocket.

Note: If you intend to reuse the chain, mark the front side of the chain with paint so that you can install the chain in the same way later (movement of the chain used in the opposite direction is not allowed).
2. Remove the lower timing chain (see Section 39).
3. Press the tensioner bar in the direction of the arrow (see illustration) and lock the tensioner with tool T40071.

If the accessory drive sprocket needs to be removed, loosen its mounting bolt before removing the chain. Unscrew the bolts (1-3) and remove the chain tensioner. Remove the accessory drive chain.
4. Install the chain first, then the tensioner (starting from the top), and then place the chain on the guides, moving from bottom to top. Tighten the tensioner bolts (1-3 in illustration 41.3), press it in the direction of the arrow and remove the T40071 tool.
5. Install the remaining parts.
Gear mechanism for driving auxiliary units
6. The power steering pump drive shaft seal can be replaced after removing the power steering pump. Press the new seal in until it stops. The following describes the removal/installation of the accessory drive gear mechanism.
7. Remove the power unit and separate it from the AT engine (see Section 35).
8. Remove the lower timing chain cover (see Section 39).
9. Prepare a cloth to collect the power steering fluid. Disconnect the power steering pump hose (1 in the illustration) and unscrew the bolts (arrows) securing it to the upper section of the oil pan.

10. Loosen the bolt (1 in the illustration) fastening the sprocket (2) by several turns.

Remove the accessory drive chain (see subsection above), finally unscrew the bolt and remove the sprocket.
11. Remove the bolts (1-5 in the illustration) and separate the auxiliary drive mechanism.

12. Remove the spring (2 in the illustration), installed between the mechanism (1) and the drive shaft of the oil pump (3).

13. Replace the power steering pump drive shaft seal (see paragraph 1) and a new sealing ring in the upper section of the oil pan (see illustration).

14. Install new sealing rings (2 in the illustration) on the oil pipe (1).

15. Insert into the mechanism (1 in illustration 41.12) spring (2), and insert the shaft (3) into the guide sleeve on the oil pump. Insert the shaft separately (without mechanism) should be done to ensure that it is seated correctly in the pump.
16. Make sure the rubber buffers (1 and 3 in the illustration) inserted into the drive shaft (2) of the power steering pump, and the drive shaft is inserted into the power steering pump.

17. Install the mechanism and tighten the bolts (1 in illustration 41.11) in a diagonal order in several approaches.
18. Install the accessory drive chain (see subsection above) and tighten the bolt (1 in illustration 41.10) sprocket mounts (2).
19. Further installation is carried out in reverse order. Finally, add engine oil.
