The timing mechanism is driven by several chains.

The main chain drives the exhaust camshafts from the drive sprocket on the crankshaft (see illustration 2.0).

On the sprockets of the exhaust camshafts there are sprockets of smaller diameter, from which the intake camshafts are driven by separate chains (see illustrations 2.0a and 2.0b).

1 - hub of the camshaft drive sprocket
2 - Sprocket hub mounting bolt washer
3 - hub mounting bolt. Tightening torque - 42 Nm
4, 24 - chain guide mounting bolt. Tightening torque - 10 Nm
5 - adjusting washer mounting bolt. Tightening torque: 1st pass - 5 Nm; 2nd pass - turn 90° further. To be replaced after each dismantling
6 - camshaft sprocket adjusting washer
7 - sprocket of the camshaft of the exhaust valves of the left cylinder head
8, 11 - chain guide mounting bolt. Tightening torque - 10 Nm
9 - purpose of the exhaust camshaft drive
10 - Upper chain guide
12 - bolt for fastening the flange and hub of the camshaft sprocket. Tightening torque - 10 Nm
13 - flange and hub of the exhaust camshaft sprocket
14 - damper sealing ring. To be replaced after each dismantling
15 - adjusting washer
16 - sprocket of the exhaust camshaft of the right cylinder head
17 - chain tensioner thrust shoe mounting bolt. Tightening torque - 10 Nm
18 - chain tensioner sealing ring. To be replaced after each dismantling
19 - chain tensioner
20 - tensioner mounting bolt. Tightening torque - 10 Nm
21 - chain tensioning shoe
22 - belt pulley on the crankshaft
23 - chain tensioner

1 - chain guide mounting bolt. Tightening torque - 10 Nm
2 - chain tensioner mounting bolt. To be replaced after each dismantling. Tightening torque: 1st pass - 5 Nm; 2nd pass - turn 90°
3 - washer for the bolt securing the intake camshaft sprocket
4 - bolt for fastening the sprocket of the intake camshaft. To be replaced after each dismantling. Pre-tightening torque - 40 Nm; final tightening torque: 1st pass - 100 Nm; 2nd pass - turn 90°
5 - intake camshaft sprocket
6 - bolt for fastening the intake camshaft position adjuster. To be replaced after each dismantling. Pre-tightening torque - 40 Nm; final tightening torque: 1st pass - 100 Nm; 2nd pass - turn 90°
7 - intake camshaft position sensor gear (hall sensor)
8- intake camshaft position adjuster
9 - chain tensioner
10 - exhaust camshaft drive chain on the left cylinder head
11 - diamond coated washer. To be replaced after each dismantling
12 - chain tensioner
13 - camshaft position adjuster cover/rear timing drive cover
14 - gasket. To be replaced after each dismantling
15 - bushing (2 pcs.)
16 - regulator cover mounting bolt. To be replaced after each dismantling. Tightening torque: 1st pass - 5 Nm; 2nd pass - turn 90°
17 - flange and hub of the exhaust camshaft sprocket
18 - sprocket flange mounting bolt. Tightening torque - 10 Nm
19 - exhaust camshaft sprocket
20 - adjusting washer
21 - adjusting washer mounting bolt. To be replaced after each dismantling. Tightening torque: 1st pass - 5 Nm; 2nd pass - turn 90°
22 - damper bar




Caution! Pre-tightening of the bolt is required due to the need to adjust the position of the camshaft position sensor gear on the regulator.

2 - drive chain tensioner mounting bolt. To be replaced after each dismantling. Tightening torque: 1st pass - 5 Nm; 2nd pass - turn 90°
3 - hub of the camshaft drive sprocket

5 - hub mounting bolt. Tightening torque - 42 Nm
6 - bolt for fastening the intake camshaft position adjuster. To be replaced after each dismantling. Pre-tightening torque - 40 Nm; final tightening torque: 1st pass - 100 Nm; 2nd pass - turn 90°
7 - intake camshaft position sensor gear (hall sensor)
8 - intake camshaft position adjuster
9 - bolt for fastening the damper bar. Tightening torque - 10 Nm
10 - damper bar
11 - adjusting washer
12 - drive chain
13 - diamond coated washer. To be replaced after each dismantling
14-camshaft position regulator cover/rear cover of the gas distribution mechanism drive
15 - gasket. To be replaced after each dismantling
16 - bushing (2 pcs.)
17 - damper bar
18 - regulator cover mounting bolt. To be replaced after each dismantling. Tightening torque: 1st pass - 5 Nm; 2nd pass - turn 90°
19- exhaust camshaft sprocket
20- washer
21 - bolt for fastening the exhaust camshaft sprocket. Pre-tightening torque - 40 Nm; final tightening torque: 1st pass -100 Nm; 2nd pass - turn 90°
22 - intake camshaft sprocket on the right cylinder head
23 - chain tensioner damper bar
24 - bolt. Tightening torque - 10 Nm
