Removal
1. Remove the camshaft drive chains (see the relevant chapter).
2. Remove the accessory drive chain (see the relevant chapter).
3. Unscrew the corresponding mounting bolts and remove the bar 1 of the intake camshaft drive chain guide and the tensioner 2 on the left cylinder head (see illustration).
2.3. Unscrew the corresponding mounting bolts and remove the bar 1 of the intake camshaft drive chain guide and the tensioner 2 on the left cylinder head
4. Unscrew the corresponding mounting bolts and remove the bar 1 of the intake camshaft drive chain guide and the tensioner 2 on the right cylinder head (see illustration).
2.4. Unscrew the corresponding mounting bolts and remove the bar 1 of the intake camshaft drive chain guide and the tensioner 2 on the right cylinder head
5. Press the plunger of the exhaust camshaft chain tensioner into the housing and secure it with a suitable stop, such as a 4 mm drill with a diameter of 3.3 mm (see illustration).
2.5. Press the plunger of the exhaust camshaft drive chain tensioner into the housing and secure it with a suitable stop, for example, a 4 mm drill with a diameter of 3.3 mm
6.. Mark the direction of the timing chain with paint if the chain is to be reinstalled.
7. Unscrew bolts 2 and 3 securing the sprockets to the exhaust camshafts and remove the sprockets together with the chain and guide bar 1 (see illustration 2.5).
Installation
The timing chain is installed in the reverse order of removal.
