Window lifters
The windows operate when the ignition is on and for approximately 10 minutes after the ignition is turned off if no front door is opened.
To raise/lower the windows, use the buttons on the trim of the corresponding doors. The driver's door is equipped with buttons for controlling all four windows (5 in illustration 6.1), as well as a lock/unlock button for the rear window controls using the buttons on the rear doors. Instead of the rear window lifter control lock button, a pair of child lock control buttons can be installed (see Section 1).
To raise/lower the glass to a certain position, pull/press the corresponding switch to the point of resistance and hold until the glass reaches the desired position. If you move the key past the point of resistance and immediately release it, the glass will automatically rise/lower completely.
You can lower and raise the windows using the remote control/system "Advanced Key", -through the comfort closing function (see Section 1). You can select which windows will be lowered when using the comfort closing function using the menu "Car → Systeme → Fens ter → Komfortoffnen" mMI display.
The automatic window lowering/raising function is disabled after disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery. To restore automatic operation, continuously pull the switch until the window is fully raised, release the switch, pull it again and hold for about one second.
Upper hatch (panoramic roof)
Note: To avoid damage, clear the sunroof lid and hatch of snow and ice before opening or lifting it in winter. Regularly remove leaves and other foreign objects from the top hatch cover guides by hand or with a vacuum cleaner.
Depending on the configuration, the car can be equipped with a panoramic roof consisting of two independent glass segments. The front segment can be raised and moved back, but the rear segment can only be raised. The electric sunroof operates when the ignition is on and for approximately 10 minutes after the ignition is off if no front door is opened.
The front lid is controlled by a combination switch in the front overhead console (And in illustration 3.1a).
3.1a. Upper hatch cover control switch.
When you turn the switch from position "0", the front cover begins to slide. In the fixed position of the switch "1" the lid is moved to a comfortable position, characterized by a low noise level, and in position "2" the lid is moved to the stop. From position "0", the front cover can be raised/lowered by pressing the switch or pulling it down, respectively. A short press/pull will automatically raise/lower the lid completely, and holding the switch will cause the lid to raise/lower until the switch is released.
You can raise/lower the rear cover by pressing respectively the rear/front side of any of the 2-position switches located in the front (In illustration 3.1a) and rear ceiling consoles (see illustration 3.1b).
3.1b. Rear sunroof control switches.
A short press will automatically raise/lower the lid completely, and holding the switch will cause the lid to raise/lower until the switch is released.
In addition, the top hatch can be closed using the remote control/system "Advanced Key", - through the comfort closing function (see section 1).
Each segment of the panoramic roof is equipped with a sun blind. The front curtain is opened and closed electrically, and the rear curtain is manually operated. To avoid overheating the interior, close both sunshades when parking in the sun. The electric drive of the front curtain is controlled by any of the buttons located next to the buttons for controlling the rear segment of the panoramic roof. The control logic is similar to the control logic of the rear segment of the panoramic roof.
Fuel tank filler cap
Attention:
- Observe the rules of conduct at the gas station. First, turn off the engine and ignition, turn off the auxiliary heater and do not smoke when removing the fuel filler cap.
- If the wrong type of fuel is added to the tank, do not attempt to start the engine, as this may result in engine damage. The fuel supply system must be checked immediately by a qualified technician.
The fuel filler cap is located above the rear right wheel. The hatch cover is opened by pressing the corresponding button (lower button 34 in illustration 6.1) in the driver's door.
Unscrew the filler cap and install it on the hatch cover (see illustration 3.2a).
3.2a. Fixing the plug.
On the inside of the fuel filler cap there is a sticker indicating the type of fuel to be filled.
Insert the fuel nozzle into the filler neck of the tank so that it rests against the vehicle body at all times and begin refueling. Stop refueling as soon as the fuel nozzle turns off for the first time, otherwise the fuel may fill the expansion space of the tank and spill out. Before removing the fuel nozzle, it is recommended to wait at least 10 seconds to allow any remaining fuel to drain into the fuel tank. To remove the gun from the tank, lift the gun slightly.
If you need to add fuel from the canister to the tank, use a funnel.
Any fuel that gets on the body and wheels should be immediately wiped off and washed off.
Tighten the filler cap until it clicks into place, then close the filler cap. If the electrical equipment fails, the fuel filler flap can be opened manually. To do this, pry up and remove the right cover in the luggage compartment (see illustration 3.2b), and then pull the handle (see illustration 3.2c).

Hood
To unlock the hood, pull the handle towards you (32 in illustration 6.1).
Before opening the hood, make sure the wiper blades are not pulled away from the windshield. Slightly lift the front edge of the hood, press the safety hook up (see illustration 3.3) and open the hood.
3.3. Removing the hood safety lock.
The open hood is held in place by two gas-filled struts.
To close the hood, lower it until the force of the gas-filled struts is completely overcome and lower it from a small height. Check that the hood is securely fastened by pulling it up. If necessary, open it again slightly and release from a slightly higher height. Do not press the hood with your hands to avoid damaging it.
