Note. In 2010 mod. During the year, guide arms with a standard silent block were gradually replaced by guide arms with a hydraulic silent block. Installing different connecting rods on one axle is unacceptable.
Remove the wheel. Remove sound insulation. If present, remove bolts -arrows- and place subframe shield -1- to one side. Unscrew the guide arm pivot pin nut until it is flush with the pivot pin threads. If necessary, keep the steering finger from turning.
To protect the thread, leave the nut on the pin screwed in a few turns. Using a ball joint remover -T40010 A-, press the guide arm joint pin out of the tapered seat.
Do not damage the joint boot! It is necessary to ensure that both arms of the puller lever are parallel to each other at the moment of maximum application of force. Disconnect bolt connection -1-. Remove the guide lever.
Installation
Install in reverse order. In this case, tightening torques must be taken into account. Remove any remaining adhesive from the threads of the guide arm pin. Silent blocks have a limited working range of twisting. Therefore, wheel suspension bolts should only be tightened when the vehicle is in the no-load or standard suspension position. Raise the wheel support with the suspension in static position on vehicles with coil springs. When tightening the bolted connection -1-, the guide lever must be pressed against the inside of the vehicle. Tighten the wheel. It is necessary to adjust the wheel alignment angles.
