Removal the hub assembly (Audi Q5-8R)

Removing the drive shaft. Insert both upper arm joint pins "2" into the hub bearing housing and insert bolt "1". This step of the work must be completed to avoid damage when loosening and tightening the ball-head bolts on the chassis parts and units. Remove the brake caliper and secure it to the body so that its weight does not press on the brake hose or brake line and does not damage them. Remove the brake disc. Remove the front speed sensor. Unscrew the semicircular-head screws "arrows". Remove the hub bearing unit.



The hub bearing "1" must always be facing upwards. The hub bearing assembly must always be placed on the wheel hub "2".

Installation

Install in reverse order. Note the tightening torques. Install the drive shaft. Tighten the wheel. For vehicles with automatic transmission and headlight range control, perform the basic headlight setting. After removing and installing the vehicle level sensor or loosening the rods on vehicles with electronic damping control, the suspension must be re-adjusted to the standard position. After re-adapting the adjustment position on vehicles with lane assist, the lane assist control unit "J759" must be re-calibrated.
