Headlight housing, control units, lamps

1. Sealing frame.
2. Ventilation: for headlight housing.
3. Inner bracket of headlight housing.
4/8/12/14. Bolt: 4.5 Nm.
5. Bolt: 2 pcs.; 6 Nm.
6. Front turn signal lamp: Front turn signal lamp. left turn signal "M5", front lamp. right turn signal "M7".
7. High beam headlight bulb: left high beam headlight bulb "M30", right high beam headlight bulb "M32"; 12 V. 55 W (H7).
9. Housing cover.
10. Stop screw: for aligning the headlight housing with the contours of the car body; should be pressed against the radiator frame.
11. Upper bracket of headlight housing.
13. Bracket.
15. Housing cover.
16. Low beam headlight bulb: left low beam headlight bulb "M29", right low beam headlight bulb "M31"; 12 V, 55 W (H7).
17. Adjusting element: for per. headlight housing relative to bumper contour.

Repair kit

1. Headlight housing.
2. Executive el. motor of headlight corrector: executive el. left headlight corrector motor "V48", actuator. right headlight corrector motor "V49".
3. Housing cover execution. headlight angle correction engine: to replace the actuator. the engine, it is necessary to cut the headlight housing for subsequent closing of the mount. the housing cover is supplied with holes.
4. Bolt: from the repair kit. motor for adjusting the headlight angle; 2 pcs.; 2 Nm.
5. Bolt: 2 pcs.; 1.4 Nm.

Removal and installation the headlight housing

Turn off the ignition. Set the light switch to position 0. Remove the lock support trim. Disconnect plug connection "2". Unscrew bolts "1, 4". Unscrew screw "3" and remove the adjusting element from the headlight housing. Loosen the "arrow" bolts on the headlight housing a few turns. Remove headlight "5" forward from the body.

Installation

Installation in reverse order: When installing the headlight "2" in the retainer "2", make sure that the headlight guide grooves lock into the retainer guides "arrows". The headlight must enter the seating recess easily and without force.

When installing headlight "4", make sure that the ventilation "3" of the headlight is evenly placed on the fastening "2" of the ventilation hose "1" "arrow".

Tighten bolts "1, 3, 4" and "arrows". Install the lock support trim.

Removal and installation the sealing frame

Remove the headlight housing. Disconnect the seal. frame "3" on the bottom side "1" and on the side of the headlight housing "4". Unlock the fastening clamp "2" "arrows" and remove the seal. frame.

Installation in reverse order. Install the headlight housing.

Replacing the low beam headlight bulb "M29"/"M31"

Right: remove the air duct housing. filter. Remove the housing cover "1" from the headlight housing "arrow".

Remove lamp "2" from the spring clips "arrows". Disconnect plug connection "1" of the lamp.

Installation

Installation in reverse order. Connect the plug connection and insert the new gas discharge lamp into the housing, without touching the glass bulb of the lamp with bare hands. Close the cover of the housing "1", while the bar "3" should be opposite the mark "2" on the headlight housing.

Right: Install the air duct housing. filter.

Replacing the high beam headlight bulb "M30"/"M32"

Right: remove the air duct housing. filter. Turn the housing cover "1" counterclockwise "arrow" and remove it from the headlight housing.

Remove lamp "1" from the spring clips "arrows". Disconnect the plug connection "2" of the lamp.

Installation in reverse order. Connect the plug connection and insert the new gas discharge lamp into the housing, without touching the glass bulb of the lamp with bare hands. Close the housing cover by turning it clockwise. Right: Install the air duct housing. filter.

Replacing the "M1"/"M3" sidelight bulb or daytime running light bulb "L174"/"L175"

Right: remove the air duct housing. filter. Remove the housing cover "1" from the headlight housing "arrow". Turn the socket "4" on the left headlight clockwise and on the right headlight counterclockwise "arrow". Disconnect the socket from the retainer by moving it upwards and remove it from the headlight housing. Unlock clamp "2" and remove plug connector "1" from socket "3" together with the lamp.

Installation

Installation in reverse order. Connect the connector and insert the new lamp into the housing, being careful not to touch the glass bulb of the lamp with your bare hands. Insert the cartridge into the mount on the headlight housing and secure it. The "arrow" hole in the "2" chuck must be located opposite the "1" mount.

Close the cover of the housing "1", while the bar "3" should be opposite the mark "2" on the headlight housing. Right: Install the air duct housing. filter.

Replacing the front turn signal bulb "M5"/"M7"

Right: remove the air duct housing. filter. Turn the housing cover "1" counterclockwise "arrow" and remove it from the headlight housing.

Unlock lamp "3": on the left - turn clockwise; on the right - turn the "arrow" counterclockwise. Remove the lamp from the housing. Remove lamp "2" from socket "1".

Installation in reverse order. Insert the new lamp into the socket, being careful not to touch the glass bulb of the lamp with your bare hands. Close the housing cover by turning it clockwise. On the right; install air casing. filter.

Replacing the front side marker light bulb "M33"/"M34"

The front side marker light bulb is an LED and is installed in the headlight housing. Replacing the LEDs is not possible, the headlight must be replaced completely.

Removal and installation the side marker light power module "J986"/"J987"

Right: remove the air duct housing. filter. Turn the housing cover "1" counterclockwise "arrow" and remove it from the headlight housing. Unlock the retaining clips "1.6" and disconnect the used "2" forward from the guide rail "arrow A". Remove the used "3" backward from the headlight housing "arrow B", as shown in the figure. Disconnect the plug connection "4".

Installation in reverse order. Close the housing cover by turning it clockwise. Right: Install the air duct housing. filter.

Removal and installation the headlight range control actuator motor "V48"/"V49"

Remove the headlight housing. To replace the executable. the headlight angle adjustment motor must be cut into the headlight housing using a sharp carpet knife in the designated area. For subsequent closing of the mont. the housing cover is supplied with holes. Cut out the plug "1" from the headlight housing with a sharp carpet knife. After removing the plug, carefully remove any chips and fine dust from the headlight housing. Remove the housing cover "2" from the headlight housing.

Use a hex key to turn the per bolt. to height to the stop "arrow A". Unscrew the bolts "1, 4". Grasping the right hole in the headlight housing, push the actuator motor "2" "in the direction of arrow B" away from the reflector. Remove the actuator motor and disconnect the plug connector.

Installation

Installation in reverse order: Turn the housing cover "1" counterclockwise "arrow" and remove it from the headlight housing. When entering, connect the plug connection and insert the actuator motor. When pressing the ball head of the actuator shaft into the reflector ball head mount, it is necessary to hold the reflector through the hole for the high beam headlight/turn signal.

Close the hole in the headlight housing "2" with the housing cover "1" from the repair kit. Tighten the arrow bolts.

Close the housing cover. Install the headlight housing.

Removal and installation the inner headlight housing bracket

Remove the lock support trim. Unscrew the bolts "arrows". Remove bracket "2" upwards from headlight housing "1".

Installation in reverse order. Install the lock support trim.

Removal and installation the upper headlight housing bracket

Unscrew bolts "2, 3". Unscrew bolt "1" and remove it as far as possible. Remove bracket "4" upwards from the headlight housing. The bolt may only be removed together with the bracket.
