1. If necessary, write down or remember the audio and navigation system settings.
2. Turn off all electrical equipment and remove the key from the ignition.
3. If there is a cover, slide it to the right (1 in the illustration) and remove with an upward movement (2).

4. Give the nut (1 in the illustration) a few turns and disconnect the ground wire from the negative battery terminal.
