1. To remove the temperature sensor in the right or left instrument panel air duct, remove the A-pillar trim on the corresponding side, disconnect the connector (And in the illustrations), turn the sensor (B) through a 90° angle and pull it out of the air duct.

2. To remove the temperature sensor in the right or left air duct to the foot well, remove the climate control unit (see Section 9) and through the resulting hole, disconnect the connector (And in the illustrations) sensor, turn it at an angle of 90° and pull it out of the climate control system housing.

3. To remove the solar sensor, gently press the cover (And in the illustration) from the windshield deflector in the direction of the arrow. Pull out the sensor (B) and secure the connector (C) so that it does not slip down.

Note: On some models the sensor is additionally secured with a screw.


4. To remove the outside air quality sensor, remove the windshield fairing (see Section 15 Chapter 1), disconnect the connector (1 in the illustration), press the lock (B) and pull the sensor (C) downwards.

Note: In the connector, pin 1 is "terminal 15", pin 2 is "terminal 31", and pin 3 is the signal wire.

5. To remove the window defroster flap actuator, remove the glove compartment (see Chapter 11), disconnect the connector (And in the illustration), remove the bolts (B), separate the activator from the support (C), and then separate the activator lever (D) from the connecting rod (E).

6. To remove the right or left temperature flap, first remove the glove compartment on the passenger or driver side, respectively (see Chapter 11). Then disconnect the connector (And in the illustrations), unscrew the bolts (B) and separate the activator lever (C) from the connecting hose (D).

7. To remove the central flap actuator, remove the glove compartment (see Chapter 11), disconnect the connector (And in the illustration), unscrew the bolts (B) and separate the activator.

8. To remove the fresh air flap actuator, remove the glove compartment (see Chapter 11), disconnect the connector (And in the illustration), unscrew the bolts (B) and separate the connecting element (C) of the activator from the shaft (D) of the damper.
