Fuel filter. Diesel engine 1.9 l

- 1 - Water drain plug
- 2 — Sealing ring
- 3 - Fuel filter. Left behind the engine. Fill the filter with diesel fuel before installing
- 4 — Fuel supply hose. To the dual pump
- 5 - O-ring. Be sure to replace it
- 6 — Fuel return hose. From dual pump
- 7 — Adjusting valve. The arrow points towards the tank. When replacing the filter, remove the locking bracket (9) and remove the adjusting valve with the attached hoses. Remove the fuel hoses. When installing the filter, pay attention to the sealing rings
At fuel temperature:
- - below +15°C the passage to the filter is open
- - above + 31°C the passage to the filter is closed
- 8 — Fuel return hose to the fuel tank
- 9 — Locking bracket
- 10 — Fuel supply hose
- 11 — Threaded bushing
- 12 — Holder
- 13 — Holder
- 14 - Terminal screw
- 15 - Bolt, 15nm
- 16 - Nut, 10Nm

- 4 — Fuel return hose
- 5 Regulating valve. Observe the instructions for position (7) fig. above
- 6 — Fuel return hose to the fuel tank
- 7 — Fuel supply hose from the fuel tank
- 8 — Water drain plug, 4Nm
- 9 — O-ring. Be sure to replace it
- 10 — Fuel filter with sealing ring of the control valve (5). On the right rear in the engine compartment. The flow direction is indicated by arrows. Before installation, moisten with diesel fuel
- 11 — Fuel supply hose to the high-pressure fuel pump
- 12 - Plastic insert
- 13 - Nut, 10Nm
Removal
1. Follow the safety precautions and cleanliness rules set out in Section General information and safety precautions.
Warning: The operation of lifting and installing the vehicle on stands is associated with danger! Therefore, before carrying out the operation, read Section Jacking and towing.
2. Raise and place the vehicle on stands.
3. 3 Remove the right cover near the fuel tank (arrows in the accompanying illustration).

4. Place a container under the fuel filter.
Caution: The fuel supply line is under pressure! Before opening the hose connection, cover it with a thick cloth. Then relieve the pressure by carefully disconnecting the hose. Wear protective glasses.
5. Disconnect the fuel supply lines (1) and (3) by pressing the release buttons.

6. Remove the screw (2).
7. Remove the fuel filter and drain the fuel into a container.
Installation
1. Insert the fuel filter into the holder so that the marks (1) and (2) are opposite each other.

Warning: The arrow on the filter indicates the direction of fluid flow.
2. Tighten the filter mounting clamp to the torque 3Nm.
3. Further installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
Caution: After installing the filter, it is necessary to bleed air from the system.
