If too much current flows, the electrical circuit of the protected components is interrupted electronically. After a short time, the electrical circuit is automatically closed again. If the fault occurs again, the electrical circuit is interrupted again.
Use fuses with the correct amperage rating.
Blown fuses must not be repaired or bridged.
Determine the cause of the burnout.
Relay replacement
Warning: The relays are located in the dashboard on the driver's side.
1. Remove the driver's side pocket, refer to Section Removal and installation of a pocket from the driver's side.
2. Remove the damaged relay using special pliers, eg HAZET 4770-1.
3. Check the operability of the relay and, if necessary, replace it with a new one, refer to the relevant Section.
4. Install the relay on the board.
5. Reinstall the driver's pocket, refer to Section Removal and installation of a pocket from the driver's side.
Replacing fuses
To protect the wires of electrical equipment and consumers from damage during short circuits and overloads, electrical circuits have fuses.
1. Before replacing the fuse, be sure to turn off the ignition and all consumers.
2. The fuses are located in the fuse boxes on the left side of the instrument panel, behind the cover (refer to the illustration in Specifications).
3. Open the lid by inserting a screwdriver with the flat side at the bottom behind the lid (arrow) and pry off the cover.
4. The location of the fuses is shown on the back of the fuse box cover.
Warning: The location of the fuses depends on the equipment and year of manufacture of the vehicle. In addition, there is also a crank for emergency closing of the sliding roof panel.
Warning: If the fuse blows again, check the electrical circuits.
