Removal
1. Open the key bit.
2. Insert a screwdriver into the recess. Turn the screwdriver and detach the transmitter housing (1) from the key part (2).
3. Remove the transmitter housing from the key part.
4. Remove the cover (1) of the transmitter housing and take the battery out of the cover.
Installation
1. Insert a new battery into the transmitter housing cover so that the battery pole "+" points downwards. The correct polarity is additionally indicated on the cover.
2. Place the cover on the transmitter body and press it down.
3. Insert the transmitter body into the key part and press both parts until they stop.
4. Check the operation of the remote control. If the car opens and does not close, the remote control must be synchronized.
Synchronization
1. Models before 2002: Press any key on the remote control. Then within one minute, manually open and close the door lock.
2. Models since 2003: If the car is locked, open the door manually. Press the unlock button on the remote control. Insert the key into the ignition, turn the ignition on and off again. Remove the key from the lock and press the unlock or lock button.
