Warning: The fresh air fan control unit is mounted on the electric motor and can only be removed and replaced together with the electric motor.
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
Warning: Follow the instructions in Section Replacing the battery.
2. Remove the glove box, refer to Section Removal and installation the glove box.
3. Disconnect the connector (A).
4. Release the cable connector (B).
5. Remove the trim on the A-pillar, refer to Section Removal and installation the A-pillar trim.
6. Carefully fold back the mat in the area where your feet are located.
7. Move the noise protection mat aside and remove the screw (C).
8. Move the noise-protecting mat aside and remove the fan (D) with the built-in control unit from the heater.
Installation
1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
2. When installing, pay attention to the correct position of the fan in the heater.
3. Secure the cable with the connector.
