Diesel-powered vehicles are equipped with an additional electric heating element. This ensures that the warm air is additionally heated immediately after leaving the heat exchanger. Diesel-powered vehicles with parking heating do not have an additional heating element.
Removal
1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
Follow the instructions in Section Replacing the battery.
2. Remove the pocket from the driver's side, refer to Section Removal and installation the pocket on the driver's side.
3. Disconnect the connectors (A), (B) and (C) of the additional heating element. D/E/F – sockets of the additional heating element, (1/2) – contacts.
4. Remove the screws (A) and remove the additional heating element (B) from the heater.
Installation
1. Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal.
2. Insert the additional heating element (B) into the heater on the pins (C) through the rubber supports (D).
3. Connect the negative (-) battery cable.
