We would like to emphasize once again that absolute priority when doing repairs yourself is safety. Before you start any work, think about whether you can handle it. You should not frivolously take on new or unfamiliar work. Poorly performed work can have fatal consequences on the road, not only for you, but also for third parties.

Work gloves will protect your hands from dirt and scratches that can be caused by sharp edges of steel sheets. However, when working with a drill, gloves become a source of danger, because if the drill chuck grabs the glove, then the hand will follow the glove, and this can end tragically.

Be careful when working with the ignition system! When the engine is running, the voltage in the primary circuit is up to 30,000 volts. Therefore, the ignition system can only be tested with the engine stopped, or arrange the test in such a way that it is not necessary to touch the parts with your hand while the engine is running.

Safety rules

For safety reasons, it is prohibited to repair or restore the following devices: front seats, seat belts, steering wheel and instrument panel!

These units are equipped with additional safety systems. The front seats are equipped with airbags. The seat belt retractor mechanism has a belt tensioner. The steering wheel and the dashboard on the front passenger side are also equipped with airbags. Unqualified manipulations in this area can lead to serious accidents.

For the reasons stated, do not repair or unscrew the above-mentioned units and blocks under any circumstances! If these blocks need repair, contact a warranty workshop. These workshops have special diagnostic and measuring devices, as well as qualified personnel. This is the only way to localize the faults in the shortest possible time.

By the way, mechanics who work with security systems must have documents confirming their qualifications and be registered with local authorities, since the listed units fall under the law on explosives. Therefore, we remind you once again: hands off these units!
