Removal
1. Move the selector to position "P".
2. Apply the handbrake, place chocks under the rear wheels, raise the front of the car with a jack and install safety supports.
3. Working underneath the vehicle, remove the screws and lower the heat shield from the selector mounting bracket onto the exhaust system. Slide the shield forward.
4. Release the cover under the selector lever by pulling the lock back (Fig. 4.4).

5. Disconnect the cable end from the lever by squeezing the lock. Pull the housing out of the bracket, pull out the locking element and remove the cover and cable from under the selector lever assembly. Do not bend the cable excessively.
6. From the gearbox side, use a screwdriver to remove the cable tip upwards from the automatic transmission lever.
7. Loosen the bolt and disconnect the mounting bracket with the cable from the side of the automatic transmission.
8. Loosen the lock nuts and disconnect the cable from the bracket. Remove the cable from under the vehicle.
Installation
9. Installation - reverse procedure. Lightly lubricate the cable ends. Before connecting the cable to the automatic transmission lever and lowering the car, adjust the cable as follows.
