Adjustment check

7. Move the selector to position "N" while pressing the lock button in the handle about 5 mm forward and release. The selector must independently return to its original position.
8. If the selector does not lock, repeat the adjustment.
9. Drive the car and check the operation of the selector. The engine must only be started in the selector position "R" or "N".
10. Turn on the ignition. When the vehicle is stationary, the selector should only be able to exit from the position "R" or "N", when the brake pedal is pressed at the same time.
Shift Lock Cable Adjustment
11. Set the selector to position "1".
12. Remove the steering column covers.
13. Turn the ignition key to position "Start" and let go. Check the gap between the cable lever and the lock pin. It should be 0.7 mm.
14. To adjust, loosen the cable clamp nut and position the cable lever to achieve the desired clearance.
15. Tighten the clamp nut.
16. Tighten the switch housing bolts and install the steering column covers.
