Ignition timing — checking and adjustment (Audi A4 B5)

The ADP engine has a distributor, the initial ignition timing can be adjusted, however, it is better to entrust this work to a dealer who has the appropriate specialized equipment, in addition, you can check for fault codes. Not all other engines have the initial ignition timing set by commands from the ECU and its mechanical adjustment is not provided. To check the initial ignition timing, contact an Audi/VAG dealer.
