Seat belts

The front seats of the Audi have a pyrotechnic seat belt tensioner. Like an airbag, when triggered, a small explosive charge is ignited, which tightens the belts toward the driver and the passenger next to the driver. Just like an airbag (Chapter Wheel suspension and steering), the seat belt tensioner is subject to strict safety instructions regarding installation and removal. Removal and installation are workshop jobs.
