Front seats
Correct installation of seats is necessary to ensure:
- access to controls;
- comfort of travel;
- maximum efficiency of seat belts and airbags.
Driver's seat
It is recommended to install the driver's seat as follows:
- adjust the seat position in the longitudinal plane so that the pedals can be fully pressed with legs slightly bent at the knees;
- adjust the position of the seat back so that the back is completely against your back and the top of the steering wheel can be reached with your arms slightly bent at the elbows.
Warning: Do not place any objects on the floor in front of the driver's seat, as in the event of emergency braking or even a minor impact, they may end up under the pedal, making it difficult to control the vehicle or leading to an accident.
Front passenger seat
It is recommended to install the front passenger seat as follows:
- seat back position is close to vertical;
- the feet are comfortably on the floor, with the seat moved back as far as possible.
Front seats (manual adjustment)
Warning: For safety reasons, seat adjustments should only be made when the vehicle is stationary.
Fig. 1–15 shows the possible seat adjustments.
1 – seat adjustment in the longitudinal direction.
Pull the handle up and move the seat. Then release the handle and move the seat a little further until the lock engages.
2 – seat height adjustment.
Rise from the seat cushion and move handle 2 upwards; sit back in the seat, adjust the seat cushion to the desired height and release the handle.
3 – seat backrest tilt adjustment.
When you press the switch up, the seat back reclines.
When you press the switch down, the seat back reclines forward.
Warning: The seat back must not be reclined too far while driving, as this will significantly reduce the effectiveness of the seat belts.
Front seats (with electric adjustment)
The position of the electric seats is adjusted using switches A and IN (Fig. 1–16). Switch WITH provides adjustment of support in the lumbar region, and the switch D – the height of the headrest installation.
Adjustment can also be performed with the ignition off.
The seat position is adjusted by pressing the switch A in the directions of the arrows:
- 1 - forward/backward;
- 2 - front seat plane up/down;
- 3 - rear seat plane up/down;
- 2, 3 at the same time - in height.
The position of the seat back and the height of the headrests are adjusted by pressing (in the directions of the arrows) switch IN:
- forward: tilts the backrest backwards;
- back: tilt the backrest forward;
- up: headrest lift;
- down: lowers the headrest.
When you press the dial switch WITH the part of the seat back in the lumbar region becomes more or less curved. By adjusting the support, you should find the most favorable position of support for the spinal column, which will help to avoid fatigue during long trips.
The support is height adjustable (higher/lower) and by size (curved/flat).
To adjust the height of the upper seat belt mount D you should press the upper or lower key and, holding it until the belt bracket moves up or down, achieve such a position of the belt that its shoulder branch passes through the middle of the shoulder (under no circumstances through the throat).
For better belt positioning on the front seats, you can adjust the seat height.
Driver's seat position memory
Allows you to memorise four individual adjustments for the position of the seat, steering column, outside mirrors and headrests.
When changing the driver by pressing the seat button steering column, the outside mirrors and the headrest height will automatically take the previously adjusted positions.
The memory device works even when the ignition is off.
To record and output data, you must press the corresponding "ON/OFF" button to the "ON" position.
Memorizing adjustments
Adjust the seat position.
Adjust the height of the headrests.
Adjust the position of both outside mirrors.
Set the position of the steering column.
Press the "Memory" key and, while holding the key, press one of the four memory buttons.
Release the "Memory" key.
The adjustment data is stored in the memory under the key you selected.
Note: It is recommended to start filling the memory with the left key and to indicate to each other driver his key.
When new adjustments are entered into the memory device, the previous adjustments on this key are erased from the memory.
When the battery is disconnected from the vehicle electrical system, all stored seat and exterior mirror adjustments are erased.
Matching the remote control key with the memory keys
To ensure that the settings stored in the memory can also be called up via the remote control, the remote control key must be matched to each memory key.
It is recommended that one of the two remote control keys supplied with the new vehicle be matched to the 1st memory key, and the other key to the 2nd key.
Open the driver's door. Insert the infrared key into the open door lock. Close all vehicle doors except the driver's door.
Press the key to which the key should be programmed. With the key pressed, give a short infrared signal with the key – the car will open. Release the key.
Front armrest
The armrest can be adjusted to several positions.
To set the position of the armrest, press the button at the end of the armrest A, fold the armrest down and release the key. Then lift the armrest until it reaches the desired position.
When the armrest is tilted downwards, freedom of movement of the arm may be limited, so this position is not recommended when driving in urban conditions.
Back seat
Switches A and IN you can adjust the lumbar support and the height of the headrests.
When you press the dial switch A (Fig. 1–22) The lumbar region of the seat back becomes more or less arched. By adjusting the support, find the most favorable position for the spinal column, which will help to avoid fatigue during long trips.
The height position of the headrests is adjusted by pressing (in the directions of the arrows) switch IN:
- up: raise headrest;
- down: lowers the headrest.
The position of the headrest that best meets safety requirements is one in which its upper edge is at eye level or higher.
Headrests
To adjust the position of the headrest, grasp it with both hands at the sides and slide it up or down (Fig. 1–23).
To remove the headrest, pull it up until it stops and, pressing the button (in the direction of the arrow), remove the headrest.
To install the headrest, push the headrest rods into the guide holes until they click into place, indicating that the lock is engaged (Fig. 1–24).
Cover for transporting long luggage
A cover for transporting long luggage, such as skis, protects it from dirt and the car interior from damage.
Loading the case
The long baggage cover must be loaded from the luggage compartment side.
Fold forward the center armrest in the rear of the cabin.
Open the trunk and clear the middle of the luggage compartment.
Press the key (Fig. 1–25) to release the cover of the device to load the case.
Take out the cover, unfold it and unzip it.
Remove the seat belt tongue from the cover holder.
Slide skis or other long objects through the luggage compartment into the passenger compartment.
After loading, fix the cover securely.
