Interior mirror
The rear-view mirror is adjusted using the drive lever. The mirror can be installed by turning the lever to one of two positions.
In the basic position, the lever on the bottom of the mirror should point forward.
To eliminate the dazzling effect of the headlights of a car coming behind, change the angle of the mirror by moving the lever back.
Exterior standard mirror
Pic. 1–10. Outside mirror switch location
The electrically adjustable exterior mirrors are installed with the ignition on using the setting disc located in the door armrest (pic. 1–10).
The mirror moves in the direction corresponding to the pressed arrow on the dial.
By pressing the left button L adjust the mirror on the driver's side by pressing the right button R – a mirror from outside the forward passenger.
If the electrical adjustment fails, the position of the mirrors can be changed manually by pressing on the edges of the mirror.
When reverse gear is engaged, the mirror moves down slightly if the front passenger's exterior mirror adjustment button is engaged.
This ensures that the right curbstone is visible when parking.
When the reverse gear is disengaged, the mirror automatically returns to its original position.
Mirror with folding function
Using the setting knob A (pic. 1–11) On the driver's side, the exterior mirror on the passenger and driver's sides can be folded down.
Pic. 1–11. Mirror switch positions with folding function: 1 – neutral position; 2 - both exterior mirrors are folded; A - mirror adjustment knob; B - switch for the position of the external mirror; L - the outside mirror of the driver develops; R - the exterior mirror of the front passenger is folded
The handle has four positions:
- 1 - neutral position;
- L - the outside mirror is folded on the driver's side;
- R - the outside mirror is folded from the front passenger side;
- 2 - both exterior mirrors are folded.
Folding is recommended, for example, to protect the mirrors from damage when parking the car or driving in tight spaces.
The mirror folds in accordance with the pressed arrow on the disk.
Notes: If the position of the exterior mirror housing has changed due to force (for example, when touching another vehicle while maneuvering), both mirrors should be pressed against the stop to the body using an electric drive. In no case should you restore the position of the mirror by hand, so as not to disturb the mirror installation mechanism.
If there is a risk of damage to the exterior mirror housings, you can interrupt the process of pressing the mirrors to the body and returning them to their original position.
Memory for exterior mirrors
Vehicles equipped with a position memory device are also equipped with a position memory for the exterior mirrors.
Any set position of the exterior mirrors is automatically stored in the memory when memorizing the driver's seat adjustments.
First adjust the position of the driver's seat, and then adjust the mirrors to match the position of the driver's seat.
Heated mirrors
The electrically adjustable exterior mirrors are heated when the ignition and heated rear window are on.
