If the cold engine accelerator cable breaks, it does not cause any particular problem. At low temperatures, a cold engine starts without using the accelerator. True, the engine is "in no hurry" to start, but such a start does not cause any harm to it.
Caution! At particularly low temperatures, the engine sometimes starts easier if the starter accelerator is not engaged. In this case, it is recommended to pull the accelerator handle immediately after starting to avoid the exhaust of thick black-blue smoke.
Removal
1. Unscrew the clamping screws securing the accelerator cable to the fuel injection pump lever and remove the lock washer on the counter support (see illustration).

2. Disconnect the lower instrument panel trim in the driver's side footwell.
3. Press the T-shaped accelerator handle lock on the instrument panel and disconnect the handle (see illustration).

4. Unscrew the eye nut in the hole on the instrument panel.
5. Remove the cable by pulling it downwards.
6. Pull the cable into the passenger compartment.
7. Install the new cable by carefully threading it through the seal in the hole in the bulkhead between the passenger compartment and the engine compartment.
Adjustment
8. Loosen the tightening screw securing the cable to the clamp.
9. Return the accelerator handle on the instrument panel to its original position.
10. Tighten the accelerator cable.
11. Make sure that the fuel injection pump lever is at the front stop.
12. Tighten the clamping screw securing the cable to the clamp.
