Examination
Faulty injectors can be detected by loosening the fuel injection pipe union nuts in order while the engine is running at fast idle. If the number of revolutions after loosening the union nut remains constant, this indicates a malfunction of the injector. You can check the injectors with a pressure gauge (performed in the workshop).
The first signs of injector malfunctions are as follows:
- Interruptions in the work of cylinders
- Detonation in one or more cylinders
- Engine overheating
- Engine power drop
- Excessively black exhaust gases
- High fuel consumption
Withdrawal
Clean the injection line with a cold cleaner.
Remove the injection lines as a set by loosening the union nut with a slotted spanner, e.g. HAZET 4560.
Attention: do not change the shape of the bend.
Remove the nozzles with the SW 27 exchange head.
Installation
Use new heat-insulating gaskets between cylinder head and injector. The recess must point upwards, the arrow points towards the cylinder head.
Tighten injectors to 70 Nm.
Tighten fuel injection lines to 25 Nm.
