1 - self-locking nut, 25 Nm
2 - exhaust manifold
The engine has 90 hp. (JN) with front
driving the lambda probe into the exhaust manifold.
3 - self-locking nut, 30 Nm
5 cylinder engine: 35 Nm
4 - gasket
5 - exhaust pipe muffler
Depending on the model, double piping can be installed
6 - holder on the box I will transfer
7 - front muffler or catalyst
The lambda probe is installed on the catalytic converter, except for 90 hp models. with the designation JN.
8 - bolt, 40 Nm
9 - spring
10 - central silencer / rear silencer
With front-wheel drive, it is installed as one piece. Silencers are supplied separately for spare parts and are connected with a clamping sleeve. Flanged in version with all-wheel drive
11 - muffler suspension ring
Tension 7 mm -arrow-.
12 - place of separation
To repair the exhaust system. Indicated by 3 dents around the circumference of the connecting pipe.
13 - clamping sleeve
The insertion depth of the pipe ends is at least a=42.5 mm.
14 - muffler suspension ring
Tension 12 mm -arrow-.
The exhaust system consists of a silencer intake pipe, front, middle and rear silencers. A catalytic converter is installed instead of the front muffler in vehicles with a catalytic converter. Necessary for adjusting the process of optimal afterburning of gases in the catalyst lambda probe (oxygen sensor) screwed into the catalytic converter housing from the front.
The downpipe is bolted to the exhaust manifold mounted on the cylinder head. All elements of the system are connected to each other by bolts and can be removed independently from other elements of the system. Self-locking nuts and gaskets must be replaced with new ones after disassembly. Retaining rings and rubber pads are checked for mechanical damage and the presence of pores and, if necessary, replaced, mothers When installing a new exhaust system, it is recommended to replace all elements of the system's fastening.
The figure shows the exhaust system of a diesel engine and a 4-cylinder fuel-injected engine.
