1. The cooling system is factory filled with an antifreeze mixture that contains a corrosion inhibitor. Antifreeze mixture prevents freezing, raises the boiling point of coolant. fluids, and a corrosion inhibitor reduces corrosion and scale formation. For these reasons, the cooling system must be filled with antifreeze all year round.
2. The concentration of antifreeze must be maintained at such a level as to provide the required level of protection indicated in the table given in Specifications.
3. When topping up the cooling system, always use the same mixture of water and antifreeze that is contained in the system. When topping up with water only, the concentration of antifreeze is gradually reduced and the level of protection against freezing and boiling is reduced.
4. At the beginning of the winter season, check the concentration of antifreeze in the coolant. liquids, add antifreeze if necessary.
5. The antifreeze mixture must not be left in the system for longer than the manufacturer's recommendation, which is usually less than three years. At the end of this time, drain the system and fill with fresh mix.
