For vehicles with a chassis number up to «8LVA006233» (release at the end of 1996) AUDI G11–A8C antifreeze is commercially used. To complement the system, G11–A8C or another marked "according to TL-VW 774 C". A sign of this antifreeze is green.
Starting from chassis number «8LVA006234», G12 antifreeze is used as standard. To supplement the system, G12 or other antifreeze marked "according to TL-VW 774 D". The sign is red.
Warning: Do not mix G11 and G12, severe engine damage may result. The mixture is brown. It must be removed immediately.
Warning: Engines with a cooling system filled with G11 antifreeze can be converted to G12 antifreeze. To do this, it is necessary to completely drain the liquid from the cooling system. Then fill the system with clean water and let the engine run for 2 minutes. After that, the water is drained from the system and blown with compressed air through the expansion tank, which ensures complete removal of water. Close the plug and fill the system with a new mixture of water and G12 antifreeze.
Warning: Use only a mixture of water/ «G12» AUDI (Red), even in the warm season. The water must be clean and free of lime. In summer, the content of antifreeze in the coolant should also not be lower than 40%. Therefore, when water is added to the system, antifreeze must also be added.

In our latitudes, frost protection must be provided up to -25°C, preferably up to -35°C. The proportion of antifreeze cannot exceed 60% (protection up to -40°C). Otherwise, the degree of protection is reduced and the cooling of the engine deteriorates.
Warning: Depending on the equipment of the car, the amount of liquid poured into the system may differ from the values \u200b\u200bgiven.
