Comment:
- The pressure in the shock absorber is created in the same way as on the front shock absorber (see Section 6).
- The details of the installation of the levers are shown on illustrations 1.2c.
Removal and installation
1. Place the car on a lift, remove the wheel and secure the brake disc with one wheel bolt.
2. Insert between the bottom (And in illustration 10.7 of Chapter 7) and the rear upper arm (B) a wooden block to be able to press down the hub assembly holder.
3. Disconnect the connector (1 in the illustration) damper stiffness adjustment valve and separate the shock absorber from the hub assembly holder (2).

To remove the bolt (2), use a wooden block to push the hub assembly holder down.
4. On models with air suspension, clean the area around the air tube connection and disconnect them on both sides (see illustration 9.4).
5. Remove the bolts (see illustration) and remove the shock absorber.

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order. After installation, use the base position to adjust the headlight range.
Shock absorber maintenance
7. During maintenance (replacement of parts) air shock absorber, follow the resistance. illustrations.
12.7a. Shock absorber design:
1, 8 - Sealing ring, subject to replacement;
2 - Cover, cannot be removed separately;
3 - Outer guide, cannot be removed separately;
4 - U-shaped boot, cannot be removed separately;
5 - Piston boot 4, cannot be removed separately;
6 - Dust cover, subject to replacement;
7 - Shock absorber.

14 - O-ring, replaceable, lubricate with lithium grease;

16 - Clamp, subject to replacement.
