Removal and installation the rack
1. Place the car on a lift, remove the wheel and secure the brake disc with one wheel bolt.
2. Unscrew the upper rack mounting bolts (by analogy with illustration 12.5).
3. Insert between the bottom (And in illustration 10.7 of Chapter 7) and the rear upper arm (B) a wooden block. to be able to press down the hub assembly holder.
4. On both sides, loosen the bolt nut (see illustration 10.8 Chapter 7) and using a wooden block, push down the hub assembly holder so that the bolt can be removed. Remove the rack.
5. Installation is carried out in reverse order. On models with automatic headlight leveling, use the basic setting.
Replacing the spring
6. The suspension strut assembly details are shown in the illustration.
13.6. Suspension strut assembly parts:
1 - Bolts, 4 pcs., 30 Nm;
2 - Bracket;
3 - Self-locking nut, replaceable, 60 Nm;
4 - Support;
5 - Upper spring plate;
6 - Upper spacer;
7 - Upper spring seat;
8 - Protective sleeve;
9 - Bumper;
10 - Shock absorber;
11 - Lower spacer;
12 - Lower spring seat;
13 - Spring;
14 - Protective cap.
7. Remove the strut and mark the position of the spring relative to its upper plate (1 in the illustration), as well as the position of the lower spacer relative to the shock absorber (2).
13.7. Marks for installing the spring.
These marks are required to ensure the required symmetrical installation position.
8. Install suitable spring compressors (see illustration) and compress the spring enough to release its upper plate.
13.8. Removing the spring.
Unscrew the piston rod nut and remove the shock absorber support. Remove the upper spring plate with the protective sleeve, as well as the spring together with the compressor tool.
9. Install the upper seat on the spring (1 in the illustration), and then install the upper spacer (2) onto the upper seat.

10. Position the end of the upper coil of the spring (1 in the illustration) so that it rests against the saddle.

Make sure the protective sleeve is secured in the upper plate (2). Tighten the new nut.
11. Before loosening the spring, align it and the shock absorber according to the marks made during removal (see illustration 13.7).
