- A) incorrect actions when starting the engine are excluded. Both when the engine is cold and when the engine is warm, do not press the accelerator pedal when starting the engine;
- b) the tank must be filled with fuel, there is no mechanical damage to the engine, the battery is charged, the starter rotates with a sufficient number of revolutions, the ignition system is in good condition and adjusted, the fuel system is sealed, there are no impurities in the fuel supply system, crankcase ventilation is in order, electrical wire «masses» (-) (engine - gearbox - body) connected. Print out the fault codes registered by the self-diagnosis system in the workshop.
Attention! Before disconnecting the fuel lines, clean the fuel lines with a cleaning agent or gasoline. Cover the joints with rags to prevent spillage of fuel.
Engine won't start
The fuel pump does not work when the starter is running (can't hear his noise)
Check the voltage supply to the fuel pump. Check contacts.
Defective fuel pump fuse
Check fuse.
Faulty fuel pump relay
Check the relay.
No power to valve injectors
Disconnect the valve injector plugs. Connect the tester with a control diode bulb to the power wires of the valve injectors and press the starter. The control lamp should flash.
A cold engine does not start well. Runs uneven
Faulty coolant temperature sensor or intake air temperature sensor
Check sensors.
The engine runs with skips
Fuel pump power failure
Check the plug connections and contacts of the fuel pump, as well as the relay.
Clogged fuel filter
Replace fuel filter.
Faulty fuel pump
Check the fuel pump and replace if necessary.
Faulty valve injector
Check valve injectors and replace if necessary.
The engine is unstable in transient conditions
Leaky air intake system
Check the air intake system. To do this, leave the engine to idle and lubricate the joints and seals of the intake tract with gasoline. If the speed increases, repair the leak
Attention! Gasoline vapors are poisonous. Do not inhale!
Leaky fuel system
Check visually all connections near the engine and electric fuel pump. Tighten all threaded connections.
Warm engine won't start
Too high pressure in the fuel system
Check the pressure, replace the pressure reducing valve if necessary.
Return hose between pressure reducing valve and fuel tank blocked or kinked
Clean or replace return hose.
