Vehicles with diesel engines, check the preheating and fuel system.
The engine starts poorly or does not start at all
Fuse defective:
- fuel pump with electric drive;
- electronic injection system;
- preheating systems.
Check fuse.
Gasoline engines
Ignition system malfunction
Contact the workshop for a system check of the engine control.
Faulty engine control unit
Check the engine control unit in the workshop.
Faulty, contaminated fuel system
Check fuel pump and lines.
Starter turns too slowly
Charge the battery. Check the power supply to the starter. Clean contacts.
The anti-theft system works
The engine starts, but after a while it stalls. At the same time, the anti-theft system warning light on the instrument panel lights up for a while.
Do one of the following:
- insert the key into the ignition lock by turning it 90°;
- turn on the remote control near the receiving antenna (inside the car);
- insert the key into the ignition, removing it from the key fob (bundles);
- use the spare key.
Replace the batteries in the remote control. If necessary, go to a workshop to read the codes registered by the anti-theft self-diagnosis unit.
