Coolant temperature too high, indicator light flashes while driving

There is too little coolant in the system

The expansion tank must be filled to the maximum mark. If necessary, add liquid. Check the tightness of the cooling system by contacting the workshop

Thermostat does not open. Coolant circulates only in the small circuit

Check if the hoses leading to the radiator are hot. If not, remove and check the thermostat. Replace it if necessary.

The radiator fins are dirty

Blow out the radiator from the engine side with compressed air.

The radiator is clogged with limescale or rust

Radiator hoses not heating up

Replace the radiator.

The radiator fan does not work

Replace the viscous fan belt.

Check the reliability of the fastening of the thermal switch and electric fan plugs.

Check the fan's thermal switch to make sure it is receiving power (ignition on, contacts of the thermal switch plug are shorted). If power is supplied, replace the electric fan.

Defective steam valve on expansion tank cap

Pressure test the cooling system. Replace the cap if necessary.

Coolant temperature gauge is faulty

Check the coolant temperature gauge sensor and the gauge itself.
