Roof slats



1. Removal: Carefully remove the rail from the joint, starting from the back of the rail.

2. To install, place the sealing profile 2 on the body rail 1.

Roof flashing:

Roof flashing: 1 - flashing strip, 2 - sealing profile, 3 - windshield.


3. Carefully lubricate the sealing profile with grease (soap lye).

4. Slide the flashing strip under the joint cover, starting from the windshield. Press the strip in sections into the joint up to halfway.

5. Slide the strip under the joint strip also at the rear window and press it into the joint completely.

Roof molding



1. In order to remove the roof molding, it is not necessary to dismantle the side glass. However, the trim of the second body pillar must be removed (see below).

2. Remove the door seals in the area of the roof molding. Remove the flashing strip 2 from the molding.

3. Drill out the heads of rivets 3, knock out the rivet stems and remove the roof molding.

4. Carefully pry the molding in the area of the side glass from below with a plastic wedge and remove it in the direction of the arrow.

5. When installing the molding in the area of the side glass, do not twist or bend it, otherwise the damage will be visible. After installing the moldings, lubricate the edges of the flashing and carefully press it into the molding, starting from the front part.
