1. If the performed checks described in chapter 1A or 1B reveal wear on the hinges, first remove the hub / wheel cap and check the tightening of the hub bolt. If the bolt is loose, purchase a new one and tighten it to the specified torque as described in paragraph 2. If the bolt is tight, put the cap back on and check the second bolt for tightness.
2. Road test and listen for hinge noise with steering wheel fully turned (turn around). Clicks are heard, which means that the outer hinge is worn out - its replacement is coming.
3. If vibration is felt that increases with speed, the inner joint is probably worn.
4. To check for wear on the joints, remove the shafts and disassemble them as described in paragraph 3; if play is found, the hinge must be replaced. Check with your dealer for availability of spare parts.
