The five-speed gearbox is bolted to the rear of the longitudinally mounted engine. A differential is mounted in front of the gearbox, transmitting rotation from the gearbox via drive shafts to the front wheel. All gears (and the reverse) are synchronized. Gear shifting is performed by a lever mounted on the floor of the passenger compartment. A single shift rod is attached to the shift lever at the bottom, which in turn is connected to a shift rod. coming out of the rear of the gearbox (fig. 1.2, a, b).
