Removal
1. All gearboxes are equipped with an electronic speedometer sensor on the left side of the gearbox, above the drive flange (Fig. 6.1). The device measures the rotation speed of the main gear, converting the information into an electrical signal that is sent to the electronic speedometer on the instrument panel. In some models, the signal is used for processing in the engine control unit.

2 Apply the handbrake, raise the front of the vehicle and install safety stands (see Jacking up a car and installing safety supports).
3. Disconnect the wiring from the sensor.
4. Press the retainer, unfold the sensor and remove it from the gearbox. Try not to damage it - the electronic components are fragile. Remove the gasket (Fig. 6.4).

Installation
5. Installation - reverse procedure. Replace the gasket.
