Removal
11. Remove the turbocharger - see chapter 4B.
12. Remove the heat shield.
13. Remove the intake manifold as described in chapter 4B.
14. Loosen the bolt securing the flashing oil pipe to the exhaust manifold.
15. Only on 1Z, AFF, AHU engines, remove and dismantle the EGR tube.
16. Gradually unscrew the nuts and washers and remove the exhaust manifold from the head studs. Remove the gaskets.
Installation
17. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the head and manifold.
18. Installation - reverse procedure. Install new gaskets, new self-locking nuts and tighten them to the specified torque.
