Halogen headlights
1. Precise adjustment of headlights is only possible with special optical equipment and therefore must be performed at a dealership service center.
2. For reference, the headlights are adjusted using screws that can be accessed from the top of the headlight (see figure paragraph S chapter 12).
3. Some models are equipped with electric headlight range control systems. This system is activated by a switch on the front panel. Before making adjustments, the switch on such models must first be set to zero.
Xenon (gas discharge) headlights
4. The direction of the headlight beam is adjusted automatically using an electrode device that receives a signal from sensors installed in the front and rear suspensions. Light adjustment can only be performed using specialized equipment from the VAG concern.
