Halogen headlights
1. Fine adjustment of the headlights is possible only with the availability of special optical equipment and therefore must be carried out at a dealer car service.
2. For reference, the headlights are adjustable with screws that can be accessed from the top of the headlight (see fig. paragraph S of chapter 12).
3. Some models are equipped with electric headlight range control systems. This system is operated by a switch on the front panel. Before making adjustments, on such models, the switch must first be set to zero.
Xenon (gas-discharge) lights
4. The direction of the headlight beam is adjusted automatically using an electrode device that receives a signal from sensors installed in the front and rear suspensions. Light adjustment can only be done with the help of specialized equipment from the VAG concern.
