Replacing the air filter element (30,000 km) (Audi A4 B5)

1. Remove the air cleaner housing shield and air intake duct. Unfasten the fasteners and remove the upper air cleaner cover. If necessary, temporarily remove the charcoal canister purge solenoid valve from the cover (see fig. 26.1). Please note that the MAF sensor is fixed in the top cover (mass air flow sensor).



2. Remove the filter element, remembering the method of its installation (Fig. 26.2).



3. Wipe the air filter housing, install a new replacement element.

4. Install the top cover and secure the latches.
