Constant control
1. The exact pressure ratings for your vehicle can be found on a sticker inside the fuel tank flap.
2. Anyone who attaches importance to comfort maintains the tire pressure indicated there. But if you're willing to sacrifice reduced ride comfort for more responsive steering, slightly longer tire life, and slightly lower gas mileage, increase your summer tire pressure by about 0.2 bar.
3. Winter tires should always be inflated to 0.2 bar more than is set for summer tires.
4. The spare wheel must always be inflated to the maximum pressure specified for the vehicle.
Tire pressure is checked when cold.
After a few kilometers, the tire pressure increases by 0.2–0.4 bar. This increase in pressure due to tire heating introduces an error and must therefore not be allowed. It is best to check your tire pressure before riding while they are still cold.
