This manual is intended to enable the motorist to competently discuss and plan vehicle repairs with a professional mechanic, or to carry out repairs on their own. The guide will help you determine what work needs to be done (even if you decide that you can do it in the workshop), carry out diagnostics and provide information on the technical condition, determine the sequence of actions and diagnostics during maintenance or repair. However, we hope that you will use this Guide specifically for independent work. Simple work will take much less time than servicing a car in a workshop, where you need to come twice to leave and pick up the car. And, of course, most importantly, you can save some money that will go to pay for the work. A good set of metric wrenches, screwdrivers and feeler gauges is essential for maintenance and repair, as these basic hand tools are used for most jobs. Sometimes special tools or special training are needed for repairs. This is stated in the warnings in this manual.
The manual includes drawings and descriptions showing the function of the various parts and their location. The works are described and photographed in a step-by-step sequence, so that even a beginner can perform them.
The guide consists of 12 Sections. Sections are divided into Parts and Chapters.
There are many illustrations, especially in those parts that give a detailed sequence of operations to be performed. The text is accompanied by explanatory illustrations. They are numbered in decimal numbers according to the chapter number and paragraph number in it, for example: 6.4 - the illustration refers to paragraph 4 of Chapter 6. At the beginning of the Guide, detailed Table of Contents is given, where you can easily find the question you are interested in.
«left» or «right» of the car is viewed relative to the person who sits in the driver's seat facing forward.
Unless otherwise stated, nuts and bolts are unscrewed by turning counterclockwise and tightened by turning clockwise.
Manufacturers are constantly modifying vehicles with changes to specifications, specifications and recommendations, and upon notification, we will update our Manual as soon as possible.
The AUDI 80 is synonymous with a successful concept in the automotive industry.
The fourth generation of AUDI 80 cars, whose year of birth is considered to be 1991, has acquired a new, emphasized sporty appearance. Even minor shortcomings inherent in previous models were taken into account and eliminated. This gives grounds to assert that the current AUDI 80 is the most perfect. The new rear suspension design and the fuel tank shifted down knocked out all the trump cards from the critics. Although the base of the body has a new design, the current model has retained much that brings it closer to the previous models.
Changed the design of the bumpers, which are painted in body color. The outer contour of the wheel arch has become more elongated to the side. With the body unchanged, the rear of the car acquired a different look. The hood has also been updated, giving the car a complete, characteristic only of AUDI, appearance.
The designation AUDI 90, which was planned to be assigned to this model range, was decided to be abandoned, because the car retained all known types of engines, ranging from a four-cylinder 55 kW diesel engine with turbocharging, a proven five-cylinder gasoline engine, and ending with a new six-cylinder 128 kW engine installed before that on AUDI 100.
