1 - holder

1 - holder
2 - fuel pressure accumulator 10 cm³ for KE-Jetronic, 20 cm³ for K-Jetronic
3 - nut, 10 Nm
4 - fuel filter. Installation position: the arrow on the filter indicates the direction of flow
5 - full screw, 20 Nm
6 - pipeline to the fuel dispenser
7 - Pre-fuel filter. Installation position: the arrow on the filter, if any, indicates the flow voltage
8 - pipeline from the gas tank
9 - fuel pump check valve, 20 Nm
10 - connection terminal, red = plus
11 - connection terminal, blue = minus
12 - fuel pump


The fuel pump is located on the underbody next to the gas tank. In the "Coupe" the fuel pump is located in the fuel tank together with the sensor.

Caution: When removing the fuel pump, a small amount of fuel may escape. Gasoline vapors are toxic and flammable, so the work area must be well ventilated.


Removal



Disconnect the ground cable from the battery

Raise the rear of the vehicle.

Unscrew the electrical wires from the pump.

Loosen the clamp and remove the fuel hose. To prevent fuel from leaking out, first clamp it with a clamp or plug it with a suitable screw after removing it. It may be necessary to collect the spilled fuel with a well-absorbing rag.



Unscrew the union nut and remove the fuel line.

Unscrew the fuel pump with the holder.

Installation



Check the rubber shock absorber for porosity and damage, replace if necessary.

Screw on the fuel pump with the holder.

Screw on the fuel line with a union nut using a torque of 20 Nm.

Connect the fuel hose and secure with a clamp.

Remove the clamp.

Screw on the electrical wires.

Connect the battery ground cable. Check the operation of the fuel pump.

Lower the car.
