Removal

Disconnect both plug connections.

Raise the car.

Unscrew the lambda probe in front of the catalytic converter. If necessary, unscrew the lower trim of the engine compartment.

Note: On a 90hp front wheel drive engine the lambda probe is located on the exhaust manifold.

Installation

Lubricate the lambda probe threads with VAG G5 grease or Ligui-Moly LM-508-ASC paste.

Caution: Lubricate only the threads, do not allow the lubricant to enter the probe body.

Screw on the lambda probe with a torque of 50 Nm.

Lower the vehicle and install the lower engine compartment trim.

Connect the electrical wires.
