Removal



Remove the radiator grille.

Unscrew the screw "3".

Remove the latch "2" for fastening the locker, to do this, unscrew the bolt and remove the latch.

Unscrew the bumper from the brackets at the bottom by unscrewing the bolts "5", before this remove the trim "4".

Remove the bumper from the body from both sides at the same time, otherwise the paintwork will be damaged. You will need an assistant here. Press the ends of the bumper down -arrow B- and remove from the guides.

Remove the bumper.

Note: If you need to remove the bumper bracket, first mark the installation position. To do this, circle the nuts with a felt-tip pen.


Installation



Installation


The mounting size of the bracket on the body is a = 50 mm.



Install the bumper, first insert it into the guide part from below, then press it from above. The lower part of the bumper should connect with the lower trim of the engine compartment.

Screw the bumper to the brackets.

Screw the bumper to the brackets.


Check the gap size between the trim "2" and the bumper "1". 3 - decorative grille. The required value AUDI 80/Coupe a = 10+1 mm along the entire length; AUDI 90: 8+1 mm. If necessary, loosen bracket "9" in Fig. 63-090 and move it in height.

Note: For vehicles with fog lights, the bracket can be moved through the fog light holes with the bumper installed. To do this, remove the fog lights.


Install the latch and screw in the self-tapping screw.

Insert the caps of the mounting bolts.

Install the radiator grille.
