2. Engage neutral gear.
3. Remove the gear shift knob and cover.
4. Through the hole in the protective plate behind the gearbox, loosen the adjustment bolt on the bottom of the gear shift lever.
5. From inside the vehicle, set the gear shift lever to the vertical position, then check that the distance from the locking ball protrusions to the housing is the same on each side (photo).

6. Tighten the adjustment bolt without changing the position of the gear shift lever.
7. Check that all gears can be engaged freely. Also check that the reverse safety catch is engaged and, if necessary, loosen the screws and turn the ball housing slightly. Tighten the screws.
8. Install the gear shift knob and cover and lower the vehicle to the ground.
