1. The air conditioning compressor is activated by a magnetic clutch which is part of the drive belt pulley. Normally the clutch does not need adjustment, but if the pulley has been replaced, the clearance between the pulley and the clutch disc will need to be checked as follows.
2. With the engine and air conditioner turned off, use a feeler gauge to check the gap between the pulley and the clutch disc; it should be 0.6-1.0 mm.
3. If necessary, unscrew the nut and remove the clutch disc. Adjust the number of shims. Install the clutch disc and tighten the nut after adjustments are made.
