Hood — removal, installation and adjustment (Audi 80 B3)

1. Support the hood in the open position and place cardboard or rags under the corners.

2. Push the windshield washer jets back and remove them from the hood (photo). Disconnect the jet hoses and heater wires.



3. Disconnect the engine compartment light wiring.

4. Remove the wiring and hoses from the hood channel and place them to one side (photo).













5. If a gas-filled strut is installed, remove it by pulling out the spring clip and pin. Support the hood.



6. Remove the plastic clips from the hinges (photo).



7. Mark the location of the hinges on the hood with a pencil or chalk.

8. With the help of an assistant, unscrew the bolts and remove the hood from the car (photo).



9. Assembly is carried out in the reverse order, but at the same time adjust the hood so that it is level with the front fenders.
