Check and adjust A/C compressor drive belt
1. Examine the entire length of the drive belt for wear, cracking, and pulley contact surfaces.
2. Check the deflection of the drive belt in the middle between the two pulleys - approximately 5 mm, when pressing with your thumb.
3. If necessary, replace and/or adjust the drive belt as described in Chapter 36.
Lubricate door control belts and hood latch
4. Apply a small amount of multipurpose grease to the door control straps on the lower hinges, hood lock strike plate and latch.
Oil the hatch
5. Open the sunroof and wipe the rails clean.
6. Apply grease to the guides.
Check bottom seal
7. Raise the vehicle and place it on axle stands or place it on an inclined plane.
8. Check the bottom, sills and wheel covers for damage to the seal.
9. Where necessary, apply new sealant after cleaning up any rust or dirt.
10. Lower the vehicle to the ground.
