
The body is a steel, all-welded structure, actively treated on all sides for effective protection against corrosion. All panels are galvanized and hot wax is pumped into the internal cavities.
Some models are equipped with the Procon-Ten protection system. The system uses steel cables connected to the front seat belt drums and the steering column. In the event of a severe frontal collision, the engine and gearbox will move rearward. Since the cables are routed around the back of the gearbox, this causes the front seat belt drums and the steering column to move forward. This provides an additional seat belt retainer and also moves the steering column away from the driver.
