1. Hold the trunk lid open and place cardboard or rags under the corners of the hinges.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Disconnect the mass of the electrical wiring and the wire of the central lock.
4. Mark the position of the hinge on the trunk lid with a pencil or chalk.
5. Get a helper to support the trunk lid, then knock out the pins to remove the stops from each hinge. If this is not done, it will be difficult to install stops.
6. Remove the spring clips from the top ends of the uprights and remove the uprights from the ball stops.
7. Turn off assembly nuts and remove a cover of a luggage carrier from the car. If necessary, remove the fog lights by removing the license plate light bulbs as described in Section 12. Hinges can also be unscrewed from the body (photo).
8. Assembly is in reverse order, but make sure that the trunk lid is centered (photo).
